Stories We Become is a journey through the stories that shape us, the worlds those stories create, and our capacity to consciously participate in shaping what comes next.
Across twelve weeks, we move through four interconnected ways of working with story:
Story as Inheritance → Story as Ecology → Story as Design → Story as Practice
We begin by noticing the stories we have received, trace how they circulate through culture and systems, imagine what else might be possible, and begin rehearsing alternative stories through our lives and work.
This is not a linear process, and it does not ask for perfect clarity. It asks for presence, curiosity, and a willingness to stay with what is unfolding.

We begin by learning to notice. Stories are everywhere: in the language we use, the images we encounter, the futures we are offered, and the assumptions that shape everyday life. We explore how to recognise dominant and inherited narratives circulating through culture — and begin to notice the stories that have become so familiar that they can feel like reality itself.

Having learned to notice the stories around us, we turn towards ourselves. Which cultural narratives have we absorbed into our own ways of thinking, choosing and living? Through memory, reflection and story archaeology, we explore the ideas about work, success, relationships, identity, progress and the future that have shaped us — and begin to distinguish what we have inherited from what we have chosen.
